Clara Ines Chaves, M.D., received board certification in family medicine. As the Area Medical Lead in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Chaves exemplifies the highest standards of compassionate, patient-focused medical excellence that are the hallmark of the health care we offer our patients. Dr. Chaves completed both her internship and residency at the University of Florida, UF Health Jacksonville, Department of Community Health and Family Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned medical degrees of physician and surgeon from the Universidad Libre in Cali, Colombia, and in family medicine from the University of Florida, UF Health Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Florida. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Duval County Medical Society, Dr. Chaves was honored with the Louis. S. Russo Award for Outstanding Professionalism in Medicine, Honorable Mention, and a Behavioral Science Award for Exceptional Achievement in the Art of Healing. She has taken part in Co-PI Senior Seminar Research, “How a Patient Reminder Letter Increases Visits and Improves Compliance with Preventive Health Recommendations,” with the University of Florida, Shands Jacksonville Department of Community Health and Family Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Chaves enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, dancing, watching movies, and travel.
