Edilia Vivanco, M.D., specializes in internal medicine. At Conviva Care Center Eighth Street, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence, providing a fresh and energetic approach towards patient care with a strong emphasis on preventive medicine. Dr. Vivanco completed an internal medicine residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, an affiliate of Loyola University, in Chicago, Illinois, July 1991 to June 1994, as well as a transitional residency at MacNeal Hospital, an affiliate of Loyola University, in Berwyn, Illinois, July 1990 to June 1991. She earned her medical degree from the Central University of the East School of Medicine in San Pedro de Macoris, the Dominican Republic, from 1982 to 1985. Dr. Vivanco obtained a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from January 1997 to January 1998. As an undergraduate, she received a Bachelor of Science from Southern Missionary College in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1980. Dr. Vivanco is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine, has served on several boards and healthcare committees, and is a frequent lecturer to both patient and physician groups on various medical topics. She enjoys practicing Tae Kwon Do.
