Yohanna Deno, M.D., specializes in internal medicine and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, ACLS, and Basic Life Support, BLS. At Conviva East St. Lucie, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Deno completed an internal medicine residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2011. She earned her medical degree from the Iberoamerican University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2007. She obtained a Master of Public Health from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2012. Dr. Deno has served as a volunteer clinical correspondent with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention; a research assistant with the Columbia University Psychiatry Department, studying PTSD and depression following the September 11 attacks; and an education coordinator, research assistant, and pregnancy prevention prospective cohort at the Children AIDS Society. Her public health involvement includes the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Community Outreach Team and the Center for Community Health Promotion & Wellness. Dr. Deno is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic, St. Lucie Medical Center, and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. She’s a member of the Medical Society of New York and the American Medical Association. Her patients view her more than a doctor but as part of the family. Dr. Deno resides on the Treasure Coast, where she proudly raises her two daughters, who hope to follow in her footsteps.
