Dianela Medina Vega, M.D., is board-certified in family medicine. At Conviva Boca Raton, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Medina Vega completed a family medicine residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, San Juan, PR, 2019; family medicine and ophthalmology residencies at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, receiving the Mario Muñoz Monroe Award for academic excellence, 2009; served a rotating internship with the HIMA San Pablo Group, San Juan, PR; and a family medicine internship at the UPR School of Medicine in San Juan, PR. She earned her medical degree from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Santiago, Cuba, 2005. Dr. Medina Vega is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Puerto Rico Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association. Poster presentations include the 2018 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Students in Kansas City, MO. Dr. She has received recognition for her medical contributions to the “Three Hundred Thousand Miracles” (the first 300,000 cataract and pterygium surgeries performed in underserved populations in Venezuela) and as a member of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade, caring for the victims of Hurricane Stan in Guatemala. She enjoys outdoor activities, family time, and travel.
