Yanayra Becerra Duque, M.D., is board-certified in family medicine and holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. At Conviva Hallandale, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused health care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Becerra Duque completed the NYMC Family Medicine Residency Program at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, New Jersey, in June 2020. She earned her medical degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences Ernesto Guevara de La Serna in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, in August 2008. She served as a general physician at the Leon Cuervo General Hospital in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, from August 2008 to July 2010 and in rural areas of Totonicapan, Guatemala, from July 2010 to March 2012. Dr. Becerra Duque is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and she has received the Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship by the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and The North American Primary Care Research Group. Dr. Becerra Duque enjoys travel, learning about new cultures, watching old movies, and loves the beach.
