Dr. Javier De La Cruz Martínez, MD, is a highly experienced internal medicine specialist with a strong focus on quality improvement and patient safety. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes in Mexico and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. He also completed one year as a Chief Resident at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. Dr. De La Cruz Martínez is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has held various significant roles throughout his career, including serving as a Primary Care Provider at Optum Florida and Mercy Sullivan Clinic, working as a Hospitalist and Quality Improvement Advisor at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, and being the Director of Quality and Patient Safety for the University of Miami Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was also a professor of Anatomy/Physiology and Pharmacology at Universidad Tecnológica de Aguascalientes. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, music and folklore, poetry, boxing, and ancient history.
