Dr. Lislie Gonzalez Veitia, M.D., a board-certified family medicine specialist, performed a geriatric medicine fellowship at West Palm Beach VA and FAU Medical Education in Florida. This followed her role as chief resident of family medicine at Manati Medical Center in Puerto Rico, obtaining the Outstanding Resident Award in 2023. Dr. Gonzalez Veitia earned her medical degree from Serafin Ruiz de Zarate Ruiz University of Medical Sciences in Cuba. She has led research presented at medical conferences across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Her accolades include the ChenMed Excellence in Primary Care Award in 2022. Dr. Gonzalez Veitia's experience includes externships in clinics in the U.S., as well as volunteer work in Venezuela. With a passion for safeguarding seniors' quality of life, she believes in empowering patients, care teams, and herself through continual learning, aiming to promote heart health, brain health, and diabetes awareness. Dr. Gonzalez Veitia chose a medical career because she has a warm heart for seniors. Outside of her work, she enjoys music, spending time with her family, and reading books.
