Maikel Martinez Reyes, MSN, FNP, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, completed his Master of Nursing Science, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Miami Regional University in 2022. Prior to this, Mr. Martinez Reyes, a foreign-educated physician, earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago, Cuba, in 2008. He was certified in Comprehensive General Medicine and practiced in Cuba, Colombia, and Venezuela before relocating to the U.S. Before joining our center in 2024, Mr. Martinez Reyes worked as a family nurse practitioner at Elite Health Center in Miami, FL. He previously held roles as a Medicare risk adjustment auditor at Simply Healthcare Plans and as a quality supervisor/MRA analyst at Interamerican Medical Center in Miami. To improve seniors' lives through patient-centered care, Mr. Martinez Reyes believes in listening to his patients and empowering them through continuous learning and personalized medical recommendations. Passionate about addressing diabetes, heart health, nutrition, exercise, and obesity. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities, music, reading, and cooking.
