Dr. Pedro D. Rivera-Morillo is a fellowship-trained physician. Dr. Rivera-Morillo performed his fellowship in neonatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham after completing a pediatrics residency at Damas Hospital and Ponce District Hospital in Puerto Rico, becoming House Staff Chief of OB-GYN. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a B.S. in Pre-Med and earned his medical degree from East Central University School of Medicine in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He served as an Ensign in the United States Navy, received an Honorable Discharge. He maintained a private practice, Dr. Rivera-Morillo Pediatric Institute, in Puerto He believes in a culture of caring for people of all ages and circumstances and finds it rewarding to learn from the life experiences of older adults. Dr. Rivera-Morillo chose medicine to help people prioritize their health and believes there is no greater recognition than being well-received after assisting people in need. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and being with his family.
