Dr. Shaheen Mizyed joined Conviva as a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Mizyed performed a hospice and palliative care fellowship at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where he completed his internal medicine residency. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua and holds a Bachelor of Public Health from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Dr. Mizyed has presented research at the Annual AAHPM Conference in Nashville, TN; the State of Medicine James Byrnes Poster Symposium in West Palm Beach, FL; and submitted research to the Chest Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL. His academic affiliations have included the FAU College of Medicine OSCE Finals at Boca Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, FL. His honors include 2nd Place, Quality Improvement Project: Improving Discharge Summaries, BRRH. Dr. Mizyed practiced internal medicine as a hospitalist at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL from 2021 until joining Conviva in 2022. He volunteered to provide outpatient COVID testing in 2020 and health screenings in the community. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, gardening, HIIT, yoga, travel, and spending time with his French bulldog, Otis.
