Dr. Abel Garriga Perez has joined CenterWell as a primary care physician. Dr. Garriga Perez completed residencies in family medicine and ophthalmology at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba, and an internship at HIMA San Pablo Hospital Group Cupey in Caguas and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He earned his medical degree from the Institute of Medical Sciences in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Garriga Perez saw patients with Clinical Care Medical Centers in Hollywood, Florida, and previously with the Center of Diagnosis and Treatment-Canovanas in Carolina and San Juan Capistrano Hospital in San Juan, PR. Earlier, he was a physician with Juan Manuel Marquez Hospital in Havana, Cuba, treating patients in Bolivia and Venezuela, as well. He is passionate about nutrition and exercise and finds working with seniors exceptionally fulfilling and rewarding. He believes in attentive listening to enhance his patient's health and quality of life. Dr. Garriga Perez chose medicine to safeguard seniors and their well-being. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and making memories with his family.
