Ailsa Cuan, MD, graduated from the Higher Institute of Medical Science of Havana, Cuba, where she earned her Doctor in Medicine degree. She completed her residency in Family Medicine and Community Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York, in affiliation with Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Cuan is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Her extensive work experience includes serving as a primary care physician at various medical centers, where she provided comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on geriatric care. Dr. Cuan has also worked as a group home manager, emergency medical technician, and medical assistant, gaining a broad range of skills and experiences. She is passionate about brain health, heart health, and addressing food insecurity. Dr. Cuan believes in empowering her patients and care team through accurate information and continual learning. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Cuan enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and volunteering.
