Dr. Alana J. Degree, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Miami, FL, in 2022. She earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She obtained a B.S. in Molecular Cellular Biology from Florida A&M University College of Arts and Sciences in Tallahassee, FL, and an A.A. from Miami Dade College, College of Arts and Sciences in Miami, FL. Dr. Degree's distinctions include the Gold Humanism Honor Society at Howard University College of Medicine, the Dean's List, a full Presidential Scholarship, and a Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship. Before joining Conviva in 2022, she practiced at the New Freedman's Clinic, a free clinic in Washington, DC. Dr. Degree is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has volunteered with the Latino Medical Student Association, Christian Medical Dental Association, Camp Hope for Kids in Philadelphia, PA, and the Montgomery County Church of Christ in Rockville, MD. Dr. Degree believes in serving her religious community and enjoys strength training, singing, and spending time with her friends and family.
