Alex Luna, D.O., is board-certified in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He leads a team of patient-focused health care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence at Conviva Pine Island. Dr. Luna completed a residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, Florida. He earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Miami. Dr. Luna is an Associate Professor at the FIU-Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, AOA, American College of Osteopathic Internists, ACOI, and Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, FOMA. In his free time, Dr. Luna is an avid drummer of improvised music.
