Mrs. Alexandra Sanguily Furtado, MSN, ACNPC-AG, is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mrs. Furtado has experience in providing care for adults and older adults across orthopedic, spine, surgical, urology and emergency department settings. Her experience includes diagnosing and treating complex conditions, coordinating multidisciplinary care, managing bone health programs and educating patients on treatment options and preventive care. Earlier in her career, she worked as a registered nurse in high-volume emergency departments, serving as a charge nurse and flow coordinator while helping patients and families navigate acute medical situations. She believes in empowering patients and their care teams through comprehensive, accurate information and continual learning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and being with family.
