Amarilis Gonzalez, MD., is board-certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine. At Conviva North Miami Beach, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Gonzalez completed an internal medicine residency at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center, an affiliate of Rush-Presbyterian St-Luke’s Medical Center, in Oak Park, Illinois. She also completed a residency at the I.S.S.T.E. in Chihuahua, Mexico. She served an internship and sub-internship at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois. She earned her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. Her research includes “Community Study on the Socio-economic and Health status, in Praxedis G. Guerrero, population: 2,561, Chihuahua, Mexico.” Dr. Gonzalez was the president of Quantum Care Inc. in Coral Gables, Florida, from 2003 to 2016 , joining as the medical director in 2002. Her professional appointments in South Florida have included Vice Chairman, Internal Medicine Department, and Physician Board Member, Emergency Medicine Committee, Mercy Hospital; Voluntary Preceptor, Barry University; Physician Member, Credentialing Committee, Hospitalists of America; Physician Member, Health Services and Quality Committee, CarePlus Healthcare; Voluntary Preceptor, first-year medical students; University of Miami; Volunteer Indigent Care, Saint Ann Mission; Internal Medicine Club, Founder; Physician Member, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Physician Member, Forms Committee, and Physician Member, Quality Assurance Committee; C.A.C.- United Healthcare and Florida Inc.; and President, Associates Council, of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Gonzalez has presented numerous prestigious talks on cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and preventative medicine.
