Dr. Amer Zakaria, MD, is an experienced physician dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in California. Dr. Zakaria has provided care in diverse settings, including correctional hospitals, community health centers, and large hospital systems, managing acute and chronic conditions while leading quality improvement initiatives. His experience includes supervising mid-level providers, conducting research projects, and promoting preventive health strategies. Guided by a philosophy of treating patients with the same dedication he would give his loved ones, he is passionate about heart health, nutrition, and diabetes management. Outside of work, Dr. Zakaria enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and exploring the outdoors.
