Awilda Pena-Jimenez, M.D., is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine, August 2019. At Conviva Care Center Starr Centre, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Pena-Jimenez completed an internal medicine residency, PGY I-III, at St. Barnabas Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Bronx, New York, July 2007 through July 2010 (3 years, 1 month). She was honored as Resident of the Year each year of her residency. Dr. Pena-Jimenez earned her medical degree from the Mother and Teacher Pontifical Catholic University in the Dominican Republic, 1995-2001. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Her passions include the arts and culture, civil rights and social action, disaster and humanitarian relief, economic empowerment, education, the environment, health, human rights, science and technology, and social services.
