Dr. Barbara Maday Calderon Izquierdo is a general practice physician. A healthcare professional since 1997, Dr. Calderon Inquired is fluent in English and Spanish. She earned her medical degree and completed Family Medicine residency at University of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba in 2002. She then practiced as a first-degree specialist in comprehensive general medicine at the Tomas Romay Polyclinic and Ciro Redondo Hospital in Artemisa, Cuba. She served a rotating medical internship at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Calderon is a member of the American Medical Association. Before joining Conviva Land O Lakes in 2023, Dr. Calderon Izquierdo practiced at Sanitas Medical Center and American Care in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Calderon Izquierdo chose medicine out of genuine compassion and dedication to safeguarding the well-being of seniors, which stems from a personal connection, and a commitment to addressing issues like diabetes, heart health, and caregiving. Outside of her work, she cherishes quality time with her family and enjoys going to the movies and exploring the outdoors.
