Dr. Bruce Barniville is a fellowship-trained internal medicine specialist. Dr. Barniville performed a fellowship in pulmonary diseases at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, from 1977 to 1979. He completed his internal medicine residency and internship at Long Island College Hospital as well. Dr. Barniville earned his medical degree from the University of Bologna Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Bologna, Italy, in 1974. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY, in 1967. Dr. Barniville's storied career began as an attending physician at the Long Island College Hospital Department of Medicine Division of Pulmonary Diseases and at the International Longshoremen's Association Medical Center, Division of Chest Diseases. During that time, he maintained a private practice in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. He also served as medical coordinator of Long Island College Hospital's Division of Alcoholism Services detoxification units and as the School Medical Inspector of the New York City Board of Education Medical Department. He joined Jupiter Medical Group, now part of Conviva, in 2004. He speaks fluent Italian.
