Dr. Carlos Ramos Encarnacion is a fellowship-trained, board-certified geriatric specialist. Dr. Ramos Encarnacion performed his geriatric fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the University of Miami, and VA Miami, and he was awarded Geriatric Fellow of the Year. He completed an internal medicine residency at Damas Hospital and an internship at Dr. Pila Metropolitan Hospital in Puerto Rico. He earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (4.0 GPA), a master's in public health from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. His accolades include Golden Key International Honor Society membership and the Arbona Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Ramos Encarnacion conducted studies with South Texas Environmental Education and Research at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Ramos Encarnacion chose medicine to help others and serve his community. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and the outdoors.
