Donald G. Detmering, M.D., specializes in family medicine. Dr. Detmering completed a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nebraska, Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska, and served as a chief clinical resident from 1999 to 2002. He earned his medical degree with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky, from 1995 to 1999. From 2006 to 2008, he practiced as a Staff Primary Care Manager with a United States Air Force contract in San Antonio, Texas. From 2002 to 2006, he served as a Staff Family Physician at Lackland Air Force Base (including medical deployments to Europe and Iraq). He also served as the Medical Director of Primary Care at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
