Dr. Emilio Antonio Doring, a family medicine specialist, completed his family medicine residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2023. Dr. Doring earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, following a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences summa cum laude from the University of Texas at El Paso. He has co-authored research published in the Journal of Virology, is affiliated with UTMB and Houston Methodist, and is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Academy of Texas Physicians. Before joining Conviva in 2023, Dr. Doring worked in Houston's underserved 5th Ward at Denver Harbor, caring for a large panel of older adults. His interest in diabetes, obesity, and heart health aligns with his passion for improving seniors' health as he guides patients toward making healthier choices. Dr. Doring chose medicine to help enhance people's lives by prioritizing their health. Before pursuing his medical training, he dedicated over 1300 hours to volunteering as a tutor in advanced chemistry, physics, and biology. Outside of work, he enjoys music, spending time with family, and expanding his skills, such as learning the piano and new languages.
