Eric Gancedo, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Florida International University (FIU) in 2015. He previously received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from FIU in 2014, graduating magna cum laude. Trained initially as a foreign-educated physician, Mr. Gancedo obtained his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba, in 1999 and specialized in biostatistics and computation at the National School of Public Health 2001-2003. Then he worked in primary medicine from 2003 until 2009. Mr. Gancedo was a nurse practitioner with South Florida Cardiology Associates. He also offered global telehealth services through AXA Assistance USA and worked with Jorge Travieso, M.D., and PrimeCare of Coral Gables. He also helped restore mobility and quality of life for patients at Best Therapy Center and served as an RN administering high-tech procedures in home care settings. His experience treating seniors has deepened his passion for addressing diabetes, obesity, and nutrition and empowering patients. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.
