Erik Matthew Korsgaard, DO, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a strong foundation in adult and senior primary care. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada, where he contributed to academic medicine through case report presentations and published abstracts in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Korsgaard initially matched into a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program, leading to him completing a transitional year at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. During his transitional year, he ultimately decided to transition to a Family Medicine residency at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. He has provided care at WellMed Medical Group and Conviva Senior Primary Care, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and geriatric care. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Korsgaard enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring nature with his family, strength and fitness training, and discovering new music.
