Dr. Ernesto R. Diaz joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Diaz completed his family medicine residency at the State University Hospital, Downstate Medical Center, New York, and Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, where he became the chief medical resident during his final year. He earned his medical degree from the University of Panama Medical School in Panama City, Republic of Panama, in 1987 and served a two-year internship and a three-year family medicine residency at the Metropolitan Medical Complex Hospital in Panama City. For eight years, he practiced at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York. He was also affiliated with EJ Nobel Hospital at Alexandria Bay, New York, and the North Country Children's Clinic in Canton, New York. He relocated to Florida in 2004, began his practice with the Heart and Family Health Institute of Port St. Lucie in Jensen Beach, Florida, and was affiliated with Port St. Lucie Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Dr. Diaz is bilingual in English and Spanish. Outside of his work, enjoys vacationing and traveling with his family, cycling, hiking, exploring fine cuisine, and creating art.
