Dr. Esther Alonso, MD, is a Family Medicine Physician with broad experience caring for adolescents, adults, and seniors. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine after completing a Master of Arts in Public Policy at Duke University. Her career included providing comprehensive primary care, conducting Medicare Annual Wellness visits, managing chronic conditions, and supporting patients across diverse community and clinical settings. She served geriatric populations, participated in quality assurance review, and mentored peers through leadership and academic involvement. Earlier experience included urgent care, outpatient family medicine, and work in underserved and international settings. Dr. Alonso believes listening closely to patients is essential to improving their well being and is passionate about nutrition, exercise, and brain health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with her family.
