Dr. Fernando Jose Arzola, a dedicated general practitioner, earned his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico and completed his rotational internship in internal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine at Cristo Redentor Hospital in Guayama, PR. Dr. Arzola further enhanced his training with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine studies at the University of Puerto Rico and holds a B.S. in Biology from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Arzola practiced at Island Doctors in New Smyrna Beach, FL, and previously worked with EMED Urgent and Primary Care, Central Florida Medical Associates, and American Care of North Florida. Earlier, he treated patients at several hospitals in Puerto Rico, including St. Luke's and San Cristobal, focusing on acute and chronic conditions. Passionate about heart health, exercise, and managing diabetes, he takes a proactive approach to senior care. Dr. Arzola chose medicine to improve people's lives and believes listening to his patients and their stories is essential to improving their health and well-being. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, listening to music, and the outdoors.
