Dr. Florina Schiess, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed a family medicine residency and an internship at CJW Chippenham Hospital, Chesterfield Family Practice Clinic, in 2009. She earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2003. She obtained her Bachelor of Science, Pre-med, from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Dr. Schiess's honors include the On-Time Doctor Award, a Compassionate Doctor Recognition, and the Patients Choice Award. Before joining Conviva, she provided patient care in the medical practice of Richard Hays, M.D., PA, in Wellington, Florida, responsible for full primary care, including chronic and acute conditions in geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. She previously worked in urgent care. Dr. Schiess is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Obesity Medicine Association. She is a fitness enthusiast and takes great pride in helping people lose weight via healthy eating habits. She considers her weight management program to be her special achievement. Dr. Schiess loves painting, drawing, and photography. Her two children are her greatest source of joy.
