Dr. Gary A. Cooperstein, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed his residency at Suburban General Hospital in Norristown, PA, in 1987. Dr. Cooperstein earned his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 1985. He also pursued post-graduate studies in Gross Anatomy at Drexel University and received a B.A. from Penn State. Drexel honored him as Preceptor of the Year in 2013. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Cooperstein practiced at Boca General & Family Practice and served as the Center Medical Director at CareSpot Urgent Care in Florida. He previously held roles at Express Docs Urgent Care and Whitford Family Medicine, P.C., in Wayne, PA. Earlier, he practiced at Family Medical Care, supervised family practice residents at Suburban General Hospital, and worked at Crozer Chester Hospital's Urgent Care Center. Passionate about diabetes, heart health, and nutrition, his care philosophy emphasizes compassion and high-quality care for all patients. Dr. Cooperstein chose medicine to make a difference in people's lives by prioritizing their health. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, gathering with family, and the great outdoors.
