Dr. Gerardo Cabanillas is a double board-certified on internal medicine and a geriatrics specialist. He completed his latest fellowship in general internal medicine at the University of Miami and conducted cancer research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2017. He completed his internal medicine residency at New York Medical College Metropolitan Hospital in 2016. Dr. Cabanillas earned his medical degree from the University of San Martin of Porres in 2009 and attended Harvard Medical School and MIT programs. Published in medical journals, his accolades include Assistant Chief Medical Resident and the First Responder Award from NYMC Metropolitan Hospital. Dr. Cabanillas practiced at Elite Health Medical Center, Serra Medical Group, Sun Valley, CA, at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley, and was medical director of Elevate FQHC. His experiences working in the most vulnerable and neglected cities in South America have given him the desire to treat his patients in the best way possible, to make a positive change in their lives. He enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and traveling.
