Dr. Hashani Malik Perkins, a dedicated general practitioner, earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed a preliminary medical residency at the University of South Florida Department of Surgery. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Southern Virginia University. His honors include the Mid-South Scholarship, the Southern Virginia Outstanding Student Award, and the National Institution of Health Summer Research Fellowship. Dr. Perkins served in the United States Air Force as an F-16 Avionics Technician. Before joining our center in 2024, he was a general practitioner with Aegis Medical Group/Lakeview Health Systems. He previously worked with Lake View Internal Medicine, and PanCare of Florida. With a commitment to older adults, Dr. Perkins focuses on diabetes and heart health and believes in listening to his patients to help improve their well-being. He is a member of the AMA and the American College of Surgeons. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, volunteering, traveling, and making memories with his family.
