Dr. Hong Vu has joined Conviva as a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Vu completed his internal medicine residency at Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, Michigan State University, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and an ICU/ER residency at Bachmai Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam. He earned his medical degree from Hanoi Medical University in Hanoi, Vietnam. He obtained a Master of Medicine from the University of Melbourne, attending with a scholarship from the Australian Government. Before joining Conviva in 2023, Dr. Vu was a primary care physician with Christy Trinity Clinic in San Marcos, Texas. He also held roles as a hospitalist with Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, St John Medical Center in Longview, Washington, and Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac, MI. Driven by a passion for addressing chronic medical problems such as diabetes , obesity, hyperlipidemia, heart disease and hypertension, Dr. Vu's connection with older adults stems from his meaningful interactions with them to discuss medical issues and lifestyle changes, a process he finds gratifying. His care philosophy, a belief in treating his patients with the same time, dedication, and commitment he would extend to those closest to him, aligns seamlessly with Conviva's patient-focused principles. At the heart of Dr. Vu's healthcare journey resides a deep wellspring of empathy for seniors, nurturing their holistic well-being. Outside of his work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, gardening and working out.
