Dr. Idalmis Santana-Porben, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her family medicine residency at Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Dr. Santana-Porben earned her medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba. She assists universities in nurturing future clinicians by sharing her clinical expertise with nurse practitioners and medical students. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Santana-Porben built a distinguished career, receiving acknowledgment from the NCQA for her excellence in diabetes care. Working with seniors, she believes in a patient-centered approach, supporting CenterWell's commitment to personalized, compassionate healthcare. Dr. Santana-Porben chose medicine to make a positive impact on the world. Outside of her work, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, kitesurfing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. Her conscious consumer choices reflect her commitment to environmental responsibility, embodying the values of being a role model for her family, friends, and coworkers.
