Idalys Martinez, DNP, AGNP-BC is a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in endocrinology, internal medicine, primary care, and chronic conditions. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), phlebotomy, and EKGs. Dr. Martinez is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population. Dr. Martinez has practiced at Internal Medicine of Miami Gardens, where she provided comprehensive primary care, including the evaluation and treatment of conditions such as COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and more. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Martinez serves as a clinical instructor at Miami Dade College, mentoring newly graduated nurses. She has been recognized with the Patient Safety Award and the Gerontological Award at Florida Atlantic University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and the outdoors.
