Dr. Janka Katancikova's interest and passion for medicine started at very early age. She graduated from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and earned her M.D. degree in 1996. She has gained many international experiences throughout her studies and professional career. After relocating to Miami, Fl, she solidified her vision to practice medicine in the U.S. She completed FP residency program in upstate NY. Dr. Katancikova has become an established and highly skilled, well-rounded physician with over 17 years of clinical experience. She practiced adult and geriatric care, operated her private practice and served as a medical director in surgery centers. She focuses on prevention, wellness, acute and chronic care of senior patients, embracing their individual unique values, needs, preferences and beliefs. Passionate about heart health, mental and emotional concerns and managing obesity through patient education, she applies evidence-based medicine to deliver personalized care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, music, cooking and working out outdoors.
