Dr. Jonier R. Rodriguez, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his internal medicine residency at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, FL, in 2008. He earned his medical degree magna cum laude with a Distinction in Research from St. Georges University School of Medicine in Grenada, W.I. He obtained a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University (FIU) School of Business in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration from FIU in 2007. He received a B.S. in Chemistry, cum laude, with a minor in Biology from FIU in 2003 and an AA in Chemistry, summa cum laude from Miami Dade College in Miami, FL, in 1999. Among his distinctions, he was a Medalist in the International Chemistry Olympiad, University of Perugia, Italy, in 1993. His research includes a study on urinary tract infections in older adult women. Dr. Rodriguez volunteers with support groups for patients who have suffered heart attacks or strokes. He believes it is his responsibility to give patients the best information and help them make decisions based on their own values. In his free time, he enjoys family life, ping pong, billiards, reading, music, boating, fishing, and travel.
