Dr. Jorge Maida Luquetta is a fellowship-trained and board-certified specialist in family and geriatric medicine. He completed his geriatric fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, in 2011, after serving as chief resident during his family medicine residency at Hoboken University Medical Center/UMDNJ in 2010. Dr. Maida Luquetta received his medical degree from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 1996. Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) in both family medicine and geriatrics, Dr. Maida Luquetta is also an associate professor in geriatric fellowship programs at the University of Miami and Florida International University. Dr. Maida Luquetta served as a primary care physician with Leon Medical Centers and Providence Community Health Centers. He was recognized as Physician of the Year for his leadership roles at outpatient centers in Colombia. He is passionate about helping seniors manage chronic conditions and addressing issues like social isolation and physical activity. Outside of his medical career, Dr. Maida Luquetta enjoys spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and listening to music.
