Jorge L. Rodriguez-Mendez, M.D., received board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine December 30, 1989 and in nephrology 1994- 2014, now Board Eligible (since August 13, 2018). Dr. Rodriguez-Mendez has led a team of medical professionals who provide compassionate, patient-centered care at Conviva West Kendall Drive for over 26 years. Dr. Rodriguez-Mendez completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, and completed a residency in nephrology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, in 1993. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic in 1981 and completed an internship at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1985. Dr. Rodriguez-Mendez enjoys traveling, skiing, and caring for animals.
