Dr. Jose Antonio Rios, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, in 1989. Dr. Rios earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 1986, and he is certified in culturally competent care by Cine-Med. He obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, the highest honors, and ranked first in his class. His accolades include Honors in Neuroanatomy, the Brown-McClelland Scholarship, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society membership. He contributed to clinical research as a sub-investigator in multi-center trials. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Rios practiced at Elite Health since 1991 and also served as a medical director with Humana Health Plans, a house physician at St. Francis Hospital, and contracting with MD Staffing Solutions. Passionate about the integration of mind, body, and spiritual health in older adults, he believes listening to his patients is vital for improving their health and well-being. He enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, and leading Bible study.
