Dr. Joseph Sperduto, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his internal medicine residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida, in 1992, serving as chief resident. Dr. Sperduto earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, in 1989. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude, from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Dr. Sperduto's academic appointments include as an affiliate professor of medicine at Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine. Among his distinctions, Dr. Sperduto received the Emmanuel Suter Award for Outstanding Freshman, Second Place for his Original Paper Presentation in 1991, and he was a Runner-up for ORMC Resident of the Year in the same month. Additionally, he received the Annual In-service Examination Award in 1991 for scoring above the 90th percentile on the national in-training examination. Dr. Sperduto is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Outside of his work, he enjoys cooking and playing tennis.
