Dr. Karina Escudero Chu, a family medicine specialist, completed her medical internship and social service at HIMA San Pablo Hospital in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Dr. Escudero Chu earned her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. She has obtained a Master of Education, a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, and a B.S. in Zoology from Weber State University in Ogden, UT. Her achievements have garnered distinctions, such as the Dr. Rivera Dueño Award for Outstanding Work at HIMA San Pablo Hospital and the Outstanding Service Award. Dr. Escudero Chu has co-authored research papers in medical journals, including Current Urology Reports and the Puerto Rico Health Science Journal. She has also presented her research at medical conferences. Before joining Conviva in 2022, Dr. Escudero Chu built a career as a family care physician at Mediko Valle Tolima in Caguas, PR, in 2021. Dr. Escudero Chu chose medicine with the heartfelt goal of positively impacting people's lives. Her dedication extends beyond her practice, as she actively volunteers with organizations like Catholic Community Services of Utah, Prevent Blindness, and the American Red Cross.
