Dr. Maria A. Gonzalez joined Conviva as a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Gonzalez is fluent in English and Spanish. At Conviva, she leads a team of compassionate professionals who provide patient-focused care with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Gonzalez completed her internal medicine residency at Lutheran Medical Center, affiliated with New York University, in Brooklyn, NY, in 2014. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana in Havana, Cuba, in 2000-2001, and the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, 2004-2007, graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Gonzalez participated in the presentation of the cases at the American Thoracic Association International Conference in San Diego, California, in 2014. She has co-authored research including Confirmation of the Central Line 2012-2014, a Retrospective Study of Patients in the Intensive Care at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Gonzalez is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Thoracic Association, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. In her free time, she enjoys biking and stepping out with her walking club.
