Dr. Maria Botez joined our center as a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Botez completed her internal medicine residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital South Shore in Queens, New York, and the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Hospital in New York, New York, in 2005. She earned her medical degree from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, where she also completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Floreasca Hospital in 1998. Dr. Botez brings decades of clinical experience in both hospital and primary care settings to Conviva. Before joining Conviva, she established a private practice in El Paso, Texas, that grew to 3,500 patients. She previously worked as a hospitalist at Memorial Hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and served on the Executive Committee of the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma. In her free time, Dr. Botez enjoys painting, cooking, traveling, and sports.
