Dr Maria Botez, front desk worker Mario, and all of tye rest of the staff are AMAZING! They always make you feel like priority and will go outside the box if needed in order to take care of what the patient needs while maintaining doing what they are allowed to do in that field. My only problem with Conviva, is the referral dept. To be honest,that issue would be the one thing that would get me to switch practices. 9 out of 10 times,referrals are NEVER sent to the recommended practices due to conviva being the hold up in the process for not completing and sending the needed referral to the referred physicians. Myself, and my mom who is also a patient at Conviva Deleon, are chronic pain patients. Alot of times, certain procedures are recommended by our other specialist teams and the hold up and cancellations of our surgery, clinical, procedures, therapies or anything else, is due to conviva getting the referral from the outside specialist we have, but never processing it to the insurance for approval. It literally takes over 6 months, several cancellations, and more before one of the 100th calls (it seems that many) is answered and completed by someone who FINALLY sends it in. Its exhausting to us as patients, several of my Dr's have complained about many of their other conviva patients having the same issue, some doctors feel bad for us when we tell them we are patients of conviva, its frustrating to other practices and doctors who are trying to get us help but are stopped in their tracks because conviva does not do what is needed, and again it's heartbreaking and sad for those of us who suffer chronic pain and are offered a procedure that could help gets out of misery, but we can't get approved. It is mentally and physically exhausting and something needs to be done.
