Marie Carmel F. Lafontant, ARNP, NP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She holds certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support, ACLS, and basic life support, BLS. Ms. Lafontant graduated from the Accelerated Combined BSN/MSN Program for Foreign-educated Physicians at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015. Before relocating to the United States, she earned her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Notre Dame University of Haiti in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 2005. She served an internship at Justinian University Hospital in Cap Haitian, Haiti, and completed clinical rotations in OB-GYN, orthopedics, pediatrics, ORL, ER, internal medicine, urology, family practice, surgery, and pulmonology. Ms. Lafontant is a member of the American Association of Nurse practitioners.
