Micaela Sekula, FNP-C, joined Conviva as a board certified family nurse. Ms. Sekula completed a residency with Alamo Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons in San Antonio, TX. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner summa cum laude with a GPA of 4.0 from UT Health in San Antonio, TX, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Ms. Sekula has been honored with a UT Health Nursing Grant, a UT Health Nursing Alumni Scholarship, a Living Endowment Scholarship, and a TPE Nursing Grant. Before joining Conviva in 2022, Ms. Sekula was an FNP with Alamo Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. She was previously an emergency room RN at Adeptus Health, First Choice Emergency Room, and HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, and a BSN-RN at University Health Systems. A big part of her medical focus is nutrition and viewing the entire person holistically. She has volunteered in New Orleans, Haiti, the San Antonio Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Sekula chose healthcare to save lives. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, running, and taking her golden retrievers swimming.
