Monica Cruz-Guel, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, earning her Master of Science in Nursing magna cum laude from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2019. She accumulated 630 clinical hours in family practice and women's health. Ms. Cruz-Guel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo and is a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inductee. Before joining Conviva in 2022, Ms. Cruz-Guel worked as a nurse practitioner with Transtreme and with WellMed Medical Management in San Antonio, Texas. Earlier, she served as an RN Clinical Coding Nurse Consultant at United Health Group. She worked as a Telehealth Nurse at United Healthcare/Optum in San Antonio, preceded by roles as a Staff RN at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and at the Medical University of Ohio Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Her dedication to empowering patients and their families and her extensive experience with seniors informs her holistic approach to healthcare. Ms. Cruz-Guel's career choice reflects a deep passion for serving the community and helping others. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
