Dr. Myriam Alexa Hinojosa, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from McGovern Medical School at UT Health in Houston, Texas, and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Throughout her career, Dr. Hinojosa provided primary care for patients of all ages, including older adults, in community-based and underserved settings. She was recognized as Resident of the Year for her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care and received a Distinguished Teaching Award from medical students. Dr. Hinojosa is passionate about diabetes, obesity, mental health, and helping patients achieve healthier, happier lives through compassionate care. She chose medicine to combine service, compassion, and lifelong learning. Outside of work, Dr. Hinojosa enjoys reading, going to the movies, taking walks, and traveling.
