Carolina M. Cabrera, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a strong commitment to preventive care, healthy aging, and patient-centered medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru, and completed her Family Medicine residency at Mayaguez Medical Center in Puerto Rico. Dr. Cabrera also pursued advanced training through a Geriatric Medicine fellowship at Florida Atlantic University, where she expanded her expertise in caring for older adults. Throughout her training and clinical experience, she provided comprehensive care to patients across diverse healthcare settings while emphasizing evidence-based medicine, prevention, and chronic disease management. She has contributed to medical research through multiple publications addressing infectious diseases, neurology, gastroenterology, and mental health. Dr. Cabrera is passionate about brain health, exercise, nutrition, obesity management, and helping patients maintain independence and quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Cabrera enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and going to the movies.
